This Kensington hotel has a dedicated pet concierge that is experienced in meeting the needs of even the most demanding dogs. Checked-in canines will be presented with a hamper of treats, including toys and a Milestone collar tag. Dogs also receive a special welcome letter, with tips for travelling around London and details of places to visit. After a day's sight-seeing, your pooch can swaddle themselves in their complimentary custom-made cushions, and duvets.

Dogs get their own butler and a two-hour class with City Dog, a training school that a NASA scientist set up to help doggies be more streetwise. Pets are a big deal at the Athenaeum. The hotel even has its own resident (statue) dog called Douglas. It has collaborated with Hiro & Wolf to launch a four-legged fashion collection which includes quilted coats, pearly button trimmed leads and ruffle collars. Guests can loan or buy ranges when staying with their dogs. It’s also within barking distance of Green Park, so perfectly situated for that early-morning walk. The hotel can only accommodate small dogs.

Many of its spacious, air-conditioned rooms boast floor-to-ceiling windows. Each room features a flat-screen TV with pay-per-view movies. Guests also have access to complimentary WiFi.
